Introduction:

Falafel is a deep fried ball or patty made from ground chickpeas . Falafel is a traditional middle eastern food, commonly served in a pita, which acts as a pocket, or wrapped in a flatbread.

Ingredients:

  • Over night soaked kabuli chana/chole 1 cup
  • Onions finely chopped 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped 1/2 cup
  • Green chili 4 to 5 finely chopped
  • Azwain 1/2 teaspoon
  • Soda 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Procedure:

  1. Take over night soaked chole,and grind it don’t  add water.(make dardara paste).
  2. Mix finely chopped onion,coriander,green chili, soda, azwain ,and salt to taste , and finally add grinded chole, mix well keep aside for few minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Make round round shape falafel and deep fry them .
  5. Serve hot in pita packets with some chopped tomatoes  lettuce and  humus.
