PANEER BUTTER MASALA – One of the most popular Paneer dishes that is ordered in a restaurant.It is an Indian dish of paneer in a mildly spiced curry sauce. Paneer is served with mild sauce that contain butter ,tomato puree,garam masala,kashmiri mirch, fresh cream .Now you can make it at home using my recipe!! Do try and let me know how you like it..
Ingredients-
- Paneer 500grams
- Roughly chopped onion 2 cups
- roughly chopped tomatoes 4 cups
- butter 1/2 cup
- cashews 8-10
- kasmiri chili powder 2tsp
- Paneer2 tbp t
- turmeric powder 1 tsp
- cumin powder (optional) 1 tsp
- salt to taste
- kasuri methi 1 tsp
- heavy cream 1 cup
Process for gravy-
- Heat the pan add butter and oil equal quantity.
- Add onion saute till onion become little soft , then add ginger garlic paste, saute till raw smell of ginger garlic go away.
- Add cashew nuts saute till gold brown.
- Add red chili powder paneer masala powder, jeera powder, turmeric powder, salt to taste. saute for few minutes .
- Then add tomatoes give it a mix and add 1/2 glass of water and cook covered till the tomatoes become soft.
- Turn off the gas let the mixture cool down,
- Then make fine paste and set aside.
- In another pan add butter and oil and sugar, saute for few seconds till sugar get caramelized.
- Pour the grinded paste mix it well cook for few minutes.
- Add paneer cubes mix it well cook for few minutes.
- Finish by garnishing with kasuri methi and heavy cream. s
- Serve hot with naan, chapati or rice.
