Pan Fried Potatoes


Pan fried Potatoes is a simple, fuss-free, no onion-no garlic dish that comes together in less than 15 mins. In this recipe  potatoes tossed  and pan fried in an exotic Indian whole spices and spice powder.

  • Peeled washed and cut Potatoes-3 /baby potatoes  – 10-12
  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Fennel seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds  1 teaspoon
  • Red chili flakes 1 teaspoon
  • Green chili 2-4
  • Red kashmiri chili powder 2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dry Mango powder 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil as needed
  • Finely chopped cilantro leaves 1/4 cup


  1. Heat oil in large wide pan, and add cumin seeds, fennel seeds and sesame seeds,and allow them to crackle.
  2. As soon as cumin, fennel and sesame seeds start crackling and popping add potatoes.
  3. Mix well and keep frying on medium flame till golden brown.
  4. Now add Kashmiri chili powder, dry mango powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder,chili flakes and slat to taste.
  5. Mix it well keep frying till they are done.
  6. Garnish with cilantro leaves , pan fried potatoes are ready.
  7. Serve hot as side dish with naan ,chapati and rice.
