Ingredients:
- Black eyed beans (Soaked over night) 1 cup
- Onion (finely chopped) 1 cup
- Tomato (finely chopped) 1 cup
- Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
- Ginger garlic paste 2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Cooking oil 3 tablespoon
- Fresh coriander leaves (finely chopped) 1/2 cup for garnishing
- Salt to taste.
Procedure:
- Heat the oil in an pan add mustard seeds allow it to crackle, then add cumin seeds allow it to crackle.
- Then add finely chopped onion and fry till golden brown in color.
- Now add ginger garlic paste,coriander powder,and garam masala powder mix well.
- Then add tomatoes ,red chili powder,turmeric powder,salt to taste mix well, and cook covered on low flame until tomatoes become soft.
- Add little water if the mixture is too dry and mix well.
- Finely add soaked black eyed beans mix well ,cook covered until black eyed beans are tender.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
- Eat with chapati or plane rice and dal.
