Almond Cake

  • All-purpose flour 1 1/2 cup
  • Powdered sugar 1/12 cup
  • Baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  • Almond essence 1 teaspoon
  • Eggs -3
  • Unflavored oil 1/2 cup
  • milk 1 cup


  1. Dust the cake pan with flour and oil and set aside.
  2. Take a large mixing bowl to sift the flour with baking soda, baking powder, and salt 3-4 times.
  3. Now sift the powder sugar and mix all the ingredients with a hand mixer.
  4. Separate the egg yolk and egg whites and set aside.
  5. Make a well in the middle of dry ingredients add egg yolk, oil and mix it well with a stand mixer.
  6. Keep mixing the batter by adding milk little by little until you reach the batter’s consistency.
  7. Add almond essence and mix it well and set aside.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  9. With the help of an electric beater beat the egg whites until you get smooth spikes.
  10. Now fold the egg whites in to cake batter by the cut and fold method.
  11. Transfer the batter to the dusted pan and bake in an oven for 28-30 minutes at 350°F.
  12. After convenient time insert the toothpick in the middle of the cake if it comes out clean that means the cake is done.
  13. Take out the cake from the oven set it aside for 5-10 minutes then take out from the pan let it sit for 5 more minutes then wrap it with plastic wrap for 2 -3 hours then decorate the cake.
