Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour 1 1/2 cup
- Powdered sugar 1/12 cup
- Baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoon
- Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt 1/2 teaspoon
- Almond essence 1 teaspoon
- Eggs -3
- Unflavored oil 1/2 cup
- milk 1 cup
Instructions:
- Dust the cake pan with flour and oil and set aside.
- Take a large mixing bowl to sift the flour with baking soda, baking powder, and salt 3-4 times.
- Now sift the powder sugar and mix all the ingredients with a hand mixer.
- Separate the egg yolk and egg whites and set aside.
- Make a well in the middle of dry ingredients add egg yolk, oil and mix it well with a stand mixer.
- Keep mixing the batter by adding milk little by little until you reach the batter’s consistency.
- Add almond essence and mix it well and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- With the help of an electric beater beat the egg whites until you get smooth spikes.
- Now fold the egg whites in to cake batter by the cut and fold method.
- Transfer the batter to the dusted pan and bake in an oven for 28-30 minutes at 350°F.
- After convenient time insert the toothpick in the middle of the cake if it comes out clean that means the cake is done.
- Take out the cake from the oven set it aside for 5-10 minutes then take out from the pan let it sit for 5 more minutes then wrap it with plastic wrap for 2 -3 hours then decorate the cake.
