This is a really easy yet exceptional Chocolate Cake that truly tastes of chocolate. The crumb is beautifully tender and moist, and it keeps for up to 5 days. The tried and tested recipe that never goes wrong.
Ingredients-
- All purpose flour 245gm
- Powdered sugar 400gm
- Unsweetened cocoa powder 75gm
- Baking powder 1 1/2 tpn
- Baking soda 1tpn
- Salt 1/2tpn
- 5 eggs separate egg yolk and egg whites
- Unflavored cooking oil 100ml
- Instant coffee mixed with warm water 1/2 cup Milk as required to adjust the consistency of cake batter
- Baking pan of your choice
Process-
- In a large mixing bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Make a well in the middle add egg yolks, oil, instant coffee mix and milk.
- with the help of electric mixer mix the batter well and set aside.
- In another pan add egg whites some vanilla essence and beat on high speed till soft peaks.
- Fold in the egg white mixture in to the cake batter by cut and fold method.
- Line the baking pan with butter paper and pour the desired amount of cake batter.
- Tap the pan 2-3 times to remove air bubbles.
- Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes at 350F/180C.
- After convenient time check the cake with tooth pick it should come out clean.
- Cake is done.
- Take out from oven , let it cool down then take out from pan.
- Cover the cake with plastic foil and set aside for 2-4 hours for cooling down .
- then decorate the cake with icing .
