Butter Chicken Recipe | बटर चिकन आसानी से बनाएं घर पर | Butter Chicken at home
Butter chicken /murg makhani is an Indian dish of chicken in a mildly spiced curry sauce.Chicken is marinated for several hours with curd and spice mixtures. chicken is usually cooked in tandoor (traditional clay oven) but may be grilled, roasted or pan fried and it is served with mild sauce that contain butter ,tomato puree,garam masala,kashmiri mirch, fresh cream .
Ingredients for marination-
- Boneless chicken 1 kg
- hung yogurt 1 cup
- kashmiri chili powder 2 tsp.
- Garam masala 2 tbsp.
- Chaat masala 1 tsp.
- Tandoori chicken masala 2 tsp
- salt to taste
Ingredients for gravy
- – Roughly chopped onion 2 cups
- roughly chopped tomatoes 4 cups
- butter 1/2 cup
- cashews 8-10
- kasmiri chili powder 2tsp
- garam masala 2 tbp t
- turmeric powder 1 tsp
- cumin powder (optional) 1 tsp
- salt to taste
- kasuri methi 1 tsp
- heavy cream 1 cup
process Marination-
- In a large mixing bowl add boneless chicken , add hung yogurt, kashmiri chili powder, garam Masala powder,Chaat masala , tandoori chicken masala salt to taste.
- mix it well and refrigerate it over night or keep it for at least 4-5 hours.
- Roast the chicken pieces in pan or grill in an oven and set aside.
- In large wide pan add butter and oil .
- Then add roughly chopped onion fry till onion becomes soft.
- Add ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, garam Masala powder,turmeric , cumin powder (optional) and salt to taste.
- mix it well saute for few minutes then add roughly chopped tomatoes.
- Mix it well and cook covered , add little water if needed.
- Cook till everything is cook properly.
- Let it cool down the masala and make fine paste .
- In same pan add butter little bit sugar saute then add grinded masala.
- Mix it well and cook for few minutes.
- Finally add roasted chicken pieces mix it well.
- Cook covered for few minutes .
- Finish butter chicken with crushed kasuri methi and heavy cream.
- Serve hot with naan chapati, jeera rice masala rice.
