Seviyan recipe | Eid Dessert | Sweet Vermicelli | 10 minute desert |

This sweet Seviyan recipe is one of those unique sweet dishes which is made with whole wheat vermicelli (seviyan), sugar, ghee, and nuts.  It is a dry variation, which is also popular as a dessert, during Eid festivities. There’s absolutely no fuss in making this delicious desert in few minutes.  Simply simmer the seviyan with the remaining ingredients until it becomes tender and thoroughly cooked. Enhance its richness by adding more ghee nuts and dry fruits to it.

 

Ingredients

  • ghee 2tspn
  • ilaichi powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • seviyaan 1 big bowl
  • water half a bowl 1:2 ratio (1 water:2 seviyan)
  • sugar 1/2 cup or as per your taste
  • yellow food color 1/2 teaspoon
  • Thinly sliced dry fruits (Cashew nuts ,almonds & pistachio)

Process-

  1. Heat the pan and add ghee.
  2. once ghee is hot add ilaichi powder fry for few seconds then add water followed by yellow food color.
  3. Bring it to boil.
  4. Add granulated sugar mix it well and bring it to boil.
  5. Add seviyan and mix well & cook on medium or low flame till they are done.
  6. Finally add a little more ghee for extra taste and mix it well.
  7. Finish by garnishing with dry fruits.
  8. . Serve hot!
