Shahi Paneer

Introduction:

Ingredients:

  • Paneer cubes 250 grams
  • Onion (thin sliced ) 1 cup
  • Cashew nut 8-10
  • Tomato puree 2 cups
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 teaspoon
  • Kashmiri red chili powder 2 teaspoon
  • Home made Shahi paneer masala 2 tablespoon
  • Honey 1/2 teaspoon
  • Kasuri Methi crushed 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh cream 1 cup
  • Cooking oil 2 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste

Procedure:

  1. Heat the oil in pan add sliced onions fry till golden brown, then add cashew nuts and fry till light brown take out onions and cashew nuts aside.
  2. Make a fine paste of fried onions , fried cashew nuts and chopped tomatoes, and set aside.
  3. Heat the pan add oil and butter , now  add ginger garlic paste saute for few seconds then add red chili powder , turmeric powder and home made paneer masala salt to taste give it a quick mix and let it fry for few minutes.
  4. Then add fine puree of tomato onion and cashew nut mix well and cook covered for 5-8 minutes on low flame.
  5. Finally add paneer cubes cook covered for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Add Honey to remove tangi taste of tomatoes.
  7. Now add crushed kasuri methi mix well cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Then add fresh cream and cook for few more seconds.
  9. Serve hot by garnishing with more fresh cream if desired.
  10. Eat as main course or as side dish with roti or naan.
