Seekh Kebab

Introduction:

These delicious, juicy kebabs can be made with any minced meat . They are a terrific appetizer but also make a nice side dish to the main meal. Serve them with green mint and coriander chutney.

Ingredients:

  • Kheema (minced goat meat) 1/2 kg
  • Onion (finely chopped) 1 cup
  • Kashmiri red chili powder 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger and garlic paste 2 teaspoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves (finely chopped) 1/2 cup
  • Butter 50 grams
  • Green chili (finely chopped) 3 to 4
  • Salt to taste.

Procedure:

  1. Take kheema in a large bowl and add the mentioned ingredients (onion,red chili powder,garam masala powder,ginger garlic paste, green chili,butter, coriander leaves and salt to taste) and mix well.
  2. By applying oil to hands make  8 equal portions and make balls.
  3. Spread the mince balls on to the skewers, using a wet hand. Press evenly to get kebabs of six inches length.
  4. Roast in a moderately hot tandoor for 7-8 minutes or in a preheated oven(180°C)or 350 Fahrenheit , or  on frying pan for 10 minutes.
  5. Baste with oil and again roast for 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot as appetizer with green chutney or as side dish with main meal.
  7. Enjoy with your family.
