Mutton Kebab

Introduction:

Mutton Kebab is a popular appetizer, which is served with green chutney and it is also served as side dish with main meal. Learn how to make mutton Kebab in quick and easy steps.
Ingredients:
  • Boneless lamb mutton pieces  1/2 kg
  • Grated coconut 2 tablespoon
  • Large onion, roughly chopped 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic  paste 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves  1/2 cup
  • Kashmiri red chili powder 2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice 2 teaspoon
  • Yogurt 2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying or roasting

Procedure:

  1. Trim mutton and remove excess fat but leave a thin layer, for it gives a delicious crisp layer when grilled.
  2. Cut meat into bite-size cubes.
  3. Roast the coconut in a dry frying pan over medium heat,Stir constantly until it is a golden brown color, set aside to cool.
  4. Put  garlic and ginger ,fresh coriander leaves into a container of electric blender and grind to a smooth puree.
  5. Add , roasted coconut, and yogurt and blend again for 1 minute or until coconut is finely ground.
  6. Pour over the pieces of meat in a bowl, add lime juice, red chili powder garam masala powder,turmeric powder and rub well on the meat so that every piece is well covered with the spice marinade.
  7. Cover and  refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
  8. Thread the pieces on a bamboo skewers and cook under a preheated grill or over glowing coals or in preheated oven at 350 degree  Fahrenheit or roast on frying pan   until  golden brown in color.
  9. Serve as appetizer with green chutney or serve as side dish with chapati and other meal.
